The Wren in The Holly Library by K. A. Linde came out yesterday! It’s a beauty and beast twist where the library is in NYC.

Earth was taken over by monsters. Jump to the present day, the Earth is almost apocalyptic-like. When Kierse enters the Holly Library, she doesn’t know there’s a monster in there and that’s going to break a monster treaty or a truce of sorts. All hell is going to break loose, and I can’t wait to read what happens.

I’m already hooked. If the sprayed edges didn’t reel me in, then the premise did. It reminds me of ACOTAR (A Court of Thorns and Roses) by Sarah J. Maas.

This was a beauty and beast twist as well, but this book by Linde is in the modern era. This is the part I’m excited for.
I can’t wait to read this book. I have so many books on my list to read, but I’m putting this one close to the top. I will get to it.

On a side note, Red Towers, the publisher for Linde’s book is the same author who published the Fourth Wing series by Rebecca Yarros.

This debut fantasy series put Red Towers on the map, and the publishing company is going full send on sprayed edges this year. I think they have 10+ coming out.

In the last month, Red Towers released three books with sprayed edges. It’s insane!

This sprayed edge is picking up, and so many publishers are catching on. I’m seeing romance, fiction, young adults, and even art books with the sprayed edge. I’m here for it, and I love it.

That’s it today. I wanted to mention a book I’m thinking of buying and reading. I hope this inspires you to pick it up as well. Follow Johnnysbookreviews for more!
