Still Waiting For A Courtney Dauwalter Book
Courtney crossed the finish line at the UTMB (Ultramarathon at Mount De-Blanc) race today at 11:40 a.m. EST. This race is one of the hardest Ultramarathon races where you have to climb 36k of elevation feet, go through three countries, and do it with tired legs.
Courtney made history today by completing three 100 mile races in one year. Well, it was one and half months she completed the three races. She not only finished them, but she placed first at all three. Lastly, she shattered the prior course records at all three of the races. She’s on an entirely new level, and it’s fun to watch.
I can only watch so many interviews before I want to read about her life. I want to get information about her in a 300 pg. book that I can read over and over again.
The one question I have is, “How was she able to tradition from a former school teacher to a full time runner? Was it mostly sponsorships?” I’m assuming her money comes from sponsorships, but I want her to put that information in a book.
At the moment, I’ll have to read Dean Karnazes book, Ultramarathon man or Runner’s High. Both are great books, but I’m missing one of the other great Ultramarathon runners books. She’s a former teacher, so she can write one pretty quickly.
A book would be awesome. Maybe soon. 🤔
