Reading Stats Over My Three Year Reading Streak
Today marks day 1,096 of reading everyday. It’s been three years! I started small and worked my way up. I love reading, but I got out of it due to college. I realize now I should have listened to audiobooks, but I didn’t discover or didn’t use these gems until 2021 when I started my reading streak. These have helped me read more consistently.
Before we get into the three year stats, let’s dive into my stats for 2023. Here they are:
- Read 43,914 pages — that’s 120 pages per day
- Read 175 books — 3 were re-reads, which were Iron Flame by Rebecca Yarros, Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, and Assisstant To The Villain by HannahMaehrer
- Read roughly 3–4 hours daily
- Only DNF’ed (Didn’t finish) 14books
- Read 46 graphic novels
- Read everyday on my Kindle, which I realized last year has a reading streak counter
I’m working on getting the exact percentage of each genre that I read, so I’ll post that update later this week.
That’s 2023 numbers. Let’s dive into my three year numbers:
- DNF’ed 40 books
- Read 110, 921 pages — that averages out to 101 pages per day
- Read 413 books
- Read all different genres — romance, graphic novels, fiction, business, biography, kids fiction, etc. — that helped me read more consistently
- Read some great books that I’ll keep re-reading like A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens, Waxing On by Ralph Macchio, I’m Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy, and Get Good With Money by Tiffany Aliche.
- Read everyday
- Focused on listening to audiobooks
- Read a ton of popular books
- Became more disciplined and consistent
- Changed my life
Some crazy stats. I’m proud of what I’ve accomplished over the last three years, and I’m excited about what the next three years will lead.
My goal for 2024 is to continue the streak, focus on taking more notes, and applying more lessons from the books to my life.
Let’s continue. If you haven’t started a reading streak, I recommend doing one. Can you reach one year? I hope so, and I hope that streak continues. Let’s go. 📚
