25 Hours In A Day by Nick Bare Book Review

What's this book about?
This is a self-help book. Nick Bare mentions what he does to become more consistent, and on how he has been able to do the amount of work he's done.
Who is Nick Bare?
Now, you’re probably wondering, why should I read this book because I don’t know who Nick Bare is. Nick Bare is the CEO of Bare Supplements or Bare Performance Nutrition (BPN). Nick Bare received a degree in nutrition at Western Pennsylvania at the The Indiana University of PA. In his senior year of college, he formed BPN. After graduation, he served in the Army and still operated BPN. Fast forward to today where BPN makes over a million dollars in revenue per year, is a sponsor in many races, and has a huge warehouse. Being a CEO of supplements, he makes the best supplements for better performance while lifting weights to running a ultra marathon. He has done multiple marathons, did the Leadville 100, and has done multiple Iron Man’s. He used his supplements to help him in each of those races.
Despite the busy schedule he has, he still grinds and works toward his goals he has for BPN and his races. This is why I would suggest reading this book because you can learn a lot from this person.

My review:
This is a great book. I wanted more information about Nick because I saw his YouTube videos that made me get into marathons.
I wanted to be more consistent, and Nick Bare's book helped me out with that. I would pick up this book and read it.
What did I like?
1. More about Nick's life
The videos he does through his YouTube channel only can tell me so much. A book tells me a lot more, and this book provides a ton of information about his life and how to be more consistent.
What did I not like?
1. His mom’s story
With this story, I thought he would provide more information about his mom passing away. He didn’t. His wife, Stephany Bare, who has a book provides a ton more information and details that I thought Nick would provide.
Any lessons?
1. Consistency
The amount of work you put in only matters if you're consistent. You can't run for four days a week then stop running for four weeks. This inconsistency is destroying your growth in running or whatever you do.
This is what I had to work on. I was inconsistent with many aspects of my life like exercising, reading, and writing blogs. I couldn't figure out how to be more consistent.
This book and Nick’s videos helped me out. I also read Tiny Habits by B.J. Fogg and Atomic Habits by James Clear. These books helped me to establish a plan on being more consistent.
For everything I wanted to do like reading, running, etc, I had to start small. I did just that. I started so small that it would be easy to do in only a couple minutes. For reading, I started at square one again with only one page. Fast forward to today where I average around 100 pgs. per day, and I’ve been reading everyday for the last 967 days in a row.
Running was a little difficult. I started small, and I eventually ran multiple marathons. However, I was still inconsistent. I would go weeks without running. It was a bad.
In the spring of 2023, I decided to do something that would help my running habit, which was to run for the next 30 days in a row. I started in the beginning of May, and I haven't stopped yet.
Over the last two years of research on myself about why I wasn't consistent in some aspects of my life, I finally figured out why. The reason is if I stop something, I'm more likely to not continue it, even if I love the activity. I might as well just keep doing it daily, so I can build that habit for the long term. If I keep on doing it everyday, it'll just be automatic and make the habit easier to do. With running, I'm continuing on running everyday. Maybe I'll stop, but maybe not.
Consistency is the key to growth. I’m still working on this, but I’m better than I was a couple years ago. Let’s keep growing and getting after it.
